The staff in the restaurant were notably attentive, providing excellent service despite the busy holiday crowd.
The buffet selection was shockingly limited, with one of the few hot items being cold potato wedges and no available sauces for dessert.

Staying at the Marine Hotel in Ballycastle was memorable for several reasons. The Honeymoon Suite's decor impressed me with its cleanliness and stunning views. I appreciated the thoughtful touches like complimentary snacks in the fridge. The Christmas tree added a lovely festive ambiance. Breakfast offered a nice variety, and I enjoyed the hot food buffet accompanied by fresh coffee. The staff were courteous and attentive, especially during breakfast service. the communal areas lacked charm, feeling more hostel-like than hotel. During dinner, the restaurant became overwhelmingly noisy, making it hard to enjoy our meal. The food itself was decent but unremarkable, with my dish of salted chilli chicken served only with basic fries that reminded me of fast food. The empty shower gel in the suite was a letdown, creating an impression of neglect. While I would return for the suite, I would opt to dine elsewhere.

The sea view from my room was breathtaking. waking up to that was a real treat. Breakfast was outstanding, offering large portions and a wide variety that kept me satisfied each morning.
The room had some mismatched furniture that was a bit distracting, and the noise levels during dinner could get annoying. It felt like the dining area could use better sound management, as I found it hard to enjoy my meal without shouting over the din. Plus, I experienced some hiccups with the room key, which was frustrating and made check-in less smooth.

Great views and comfy stay
Such a pleasant stay! The room was super spacious and clean, and waking up to that sea view was a treat. The bar area was nice for chilling, and the staff were really friendly. Just wish the lighting in the room was a bit better – sometimes it felt a bit dim.

The double room offered breathtaking views of the beach and surrounding landscape, making mornings a delight. The dog-friendly policies were a highlight, allowing our pet to join us at meals in a separate café area. While the menus featured enjoyable seasonal salads and the breakfast spread was exceptional, noise levels during dinner detracted from the experience. A few service hiccups during peak hours were also noted, creating minor frustrations. The overall ambiance was pleasant but could benefit from improvements in noise management.
